A majority of living NOBEL SCIENCE PRIZE WINNERS write a letter to humanity telling us that we are racing towards the end of the world and it doesn't make front page news????!!!! What kind of world are we living in where the media would rather report about an old has-been football player (OJ Simpson) then about a document compiled by the smartest minds on the planet???!!!! This letter should be a wake-up call to all those poeple out there that are thinking we're still "undecided" on the effects of climate change. The experts are telling you to panic - do not be lulled into complacency - read this document and pass it on. I for one resent the fact that the media didn't do their job as acting as a watchdog for society - how can we make informed decisions in our lives if information is buried and hidden from us???!!!!

THIS IS SOO TRUE! The world IS coming to an end, but slowly. We need to fix it. We still have time to make a difference. When the world comes to an end, (knocking on wood) WE ALL CAN'T GO LIVE ON MARS or whatever!

With all due respect to Matt's opinion, I think it's time people get their heads out of the sand. We are going to eventually cause so much damage to the earth that nothing we do will ever be able to save what's left of it. We likley won't see the worst of it, but I'm sure our future children will. We need to start acting now.

Give me a break -- $10 says 1700 scientists wanted to make a name for themselves and/or needed funding for something... so they endorsed Kendall in spite of their better judgement.

The world is fine. We aren't going to die. To quote the brilliant mind of Mark Steyn: "Bet on mankind every time".

Are you really a doomsday believer? Do you not think that at least a few of the 5 billion people on this planet haven't decided to figure out a "Plan B" in case this planet earth becomes the slightest bit inhabitable? Or do you believe that every scientist out there is spending his/her time signing petitions or letters agreeing that: “ya, we suck – we’re doomed”

With all due respect to the late Mr. Kendall - it's kind of counter-active of him to spend the time to write the letter when he could've been working on a solution. I’m just putting that out there. In fact, here's some advice to all you kids out there: Instead of bringing a problem to the table: bring a solution.
